Kate CookVietnam Travel SpecialistMy travel experiences started at an early age, taking my first international flight when I was only one month old. My family moved many times giving me the privilege of growing up living in multiple cities in both Australia and New Zealand.At the age of 18, my own travel adventures began. I finished a Diploma in Tourism and attained an overseas internship. I've since lived in America, Canada and England dedicating available time to explore these countries and others around. I have travelled to 40 countries with many more awaiting my arrival. There’s always a new trip being planned, whether it’s a weekend away or an overseas adventure. Being able to experience new destinations, cultures, flora and fauna – ultimately stepping outside of my comfort zone to try something new is why travel is so addictive to me. |

As a child I travelled extensively around Australia to many remote locations and I loved being able to touch on a side of the country that many Australians themselves never get to see. My mother also worked abroad a lot and was always telling me stories about the exotic places she had been. For years I dreamed of the day I could also visit these places.After I left school, I couldn’t get on a plane fast enough! I used my new found freedom to spend the next five years travelling extensively around the United Kingdom, Europe, Turkey, and Egypt. I’ve now been to over 21 countries and am always looking for the next one to add to my list. I find the very idea of travel intoxicating and I am thankful that I can now share my experiences with other people as well as have the privilege of helping them with their own adventures. |
Nadia FlintManagerSince I was young I knew that all I wanted to do was travel, nothing inspired me more than pictures and stories from distant places. After finishing my degree I headed straight overseas to London, which I used as my base for exploring Europe for the next two years. From the UK, my partner and I plus two friends headed to South America, travelling independently down the west coast from Ecuador to Chile, an adventure which would undoubtedly be the highlight of all my travels. Moving next to my partners’ home town of Queenstown, NZ, I started working in a travel agency and my career in the industry began.Within a couple of years we had itchy feet again, so we dusted off our backpacks and spent the next six months travelling through India (with an unforgettable stop in the Maldives) and South East Asia including Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia before we finally decided to return to my home town of Adelaide to get jobs like normal people. Even though we had settled down for a while, working in the travel industry brought some lovely perks over the next couple of years with two incredible trips to Egypt and South Africa. My love for travel will never fade, but working in the industry is a constant inspiration – I am forever planning the next adventure! |

Vietnam Online, part of Rickshaw TravelRickshaw Travel is the holding company for Vietnam Online and also operates in a number of other countries. Rickshaw Travel is an online travel organisation that lets independent travellers create their own adventurous and cultural trips to far-off destinations. We wanted our company name to fit with each new country site we launched (starting with Vietnam Online and Cambodia Online). It needed to be a name that could be associated with trips to far-away lands and yet have a very intimate, small-scale appeal. A name that wouldn't stand for shiny brochures (don't have them) or for trips with unnecessary frills (don't want them). A name that would stand for new experiences, respect for nature and culture, for independent travel and the opportunity for personal input. We chose the name Rickshaw, based on the ordinary, exotic means of transport and hardworking people who operate them. We have an ever-growing enthusiastic travel specialist team and our range of travel destinations is continuously expanding.At the moment we offer our unique travel adventures for the following locations: Travel Cambodia with Cambodia Online Travel India with India Online Travel Peru and South America with Peru Online |
