Got a few days to spare? Instead of flying from Hoi An to the shores of Nha Trang, why not spend a few days travelling through Central Vietnam by land? You won't run into many other travellers in this part of Vietnam.

You'll go for a picnic by the falls and afterwards you'll have time for a refreshing swim. The next day you'll climb upon an elephant's back for a tour of the area. Plodding around on top of such a giant animal with small children waving at you as you pass by is quite a fun experience. Once you reach the local country village you'll go for walk past the town's traditional homes before crossing back over the river in a wooden canoe.
